This Privacy Policy explains how **Naam Jap Counter** (the "App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our mobile application. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

**Quick summary:** The App works fully offline. There is no account, login, or leaderboard — your chant counts and settings stay on your device only. The only data leaving your device is your advertising identifier (for ads) and, only if you use the Voice Chant feature, your microphone audio (sent to your device's built-in speech-recognition service to convert speech to text). We do not sell your personal data.

## 1. Information We Collect

### a. No account, no personal profile

The App does not require or support registration, login, a name, an email address, or a password. There is no leaderboard and no user profile of any kind.

### b. Chant counts & app settings

Your selected chant name, daily counts, streaks, and preferences (sound, vibration, theme, reminders) are stored only in local storage on your device. This data is never uploaded to us or to any server — uninstalling the App permanently deletes it.

### c. Microphone audio (Voice Chant feature only)

If you use Voice Chant to count by speaking, the App accesses your microphone and passes the audio to your device's built-in speech-recognition service (typically provided by Google on Android) to transcribe it to text, which the App then matches against your chant name. The App itself does not record, store, or transmit this audio anywhere else. If you don't use Voice Chant, the microphone is never accessed.

### d. Advertising data

The App shows ads through **Google AdMob**. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier (Advertising ID) and related technical information to serve and measure ads.

## 2. How We Use Information

Chant counts and settings are used only to run the App's features on your device. Microphone audio is used only to power the optional Voice Chant feature. The Advertising ID is used only to display and measure ads.

## 3. Sharing of Information

We do **not** sell your personal information, and we have no servers of our own storing your chant data. The only sharing that happens is: your Advertising ID with Google AdMob (to display ads), and, only when you use Voice Chant, your microphone audio with your device's speech-recognition service (to transcribe it). Otherwise, information is shared only when required by law.

## 4. Data Storage & Security

Your chant counts and settings are stored locally on your device using standard on-device storage — not on any remote server we control. No account credentials exist to protect, because the App has no accounts.

## 5. Your Rights & Choices

- **Ad personalization** — reset or limit your Advertising ID in your device settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads).

- **Microphone** — revoke the microphone permission any time in your device's app settings; Voice Chant simply won't work until it's granted again.

- **Delete your data** — uninstall the App to remove all of its locally stored data.

## 6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

## 7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised policy.
